Pregnancy Massage - Pre/Post Natal:
Prenatal Massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone and relieves mental and physical fatigue. Massage during the first trimester is similar to Swedish massage. During the second and third trimesters, the mother-to-be receives massage in a side-lying position supported by bolsters and pillows for ultimate comfort. A modified supine position (reclining) may also be used.

Postpartum massage can be as important and beneficial as massage during pregnancy. Postpartum bodywork is an effective and holistic approach for the many adjustments to motherhood. Unique postpartum benefits include hormone regulation, reduced swelling, better sleep, and improved breastfeeding.
